Sin Gin: Tapioca PHASE II

Sin Gin Dew DropsSTORY:  Well, I have made a decision to restart this project. The original idea for this project went a lil something like this: M.F Dinan wanted to do a project that we dubbed “Tapioca Sin Gin” which started off simple (click here to see) then Dinan went progressed to this! Unfortunately. the female lead on the project developed some debilitating back issues that has made it almost impossible to finish the project.  I was waiting until the original “T.S.G” project to restart filming before I started to work on my “commercial” project. I realized that the project might unfortunately get “canned” and never see the light of day. Then it dawned on me…”Why should I abandon the project?”

The “Sin Gin: Tapioca” product commercial was pretty much a stand alone project. I wanted it to be a stand alone project that was going to be inserted in to M.F.’s “Chop Saki” female fight fest. Just because the principle project might get aborted, mine should not.

MOVING FORWARD: This project will entail me working with my brother David Olaño and the talented Omar Cruz to hire and shoot a model for this project. I am a bit excited because we are going to shoot, composite and edit. I am also thinking of asking the amazing Mike Davis to help color grade the entire project to make it look polished, professional and sexy!

TOOLS:  Cinema 4D, Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut

CLOSING THOUGHTS: I can’t wait to start this project…no, I can’t wait to FINISH this project. I am a little excited because it is going to entail me actually shooting a model, compositing in After Effects and Editing. I think I am actually going to edit in Premiere Pro instead of Final Cut…that will be a first.

What up! Jet Olaño here, check it out…this is my “Online Art Journal”,  which is just a cool way of saying my “lame ass art blog”. Anyway, this is not meant to show off my professional work, advertise or sway anyone’s mind. This is merely “…a place for my thoughts that come and go like the wind.” (That was an in joke) If there is anything on this page that strikes your fancy or if I’ve struck a nerve or if I’ve misspelled anything (which I’m prone to do because I usually work on this thing very late at night…I am also prone to parentheticals but I can cus it’s my damn blog! Er, I mean “Online Art Journal”) please leave a comment. All comments and critiques are welcome as long as they are constructive, any trolling will be deleted and punch you in your spleen through the internet.  Thanks for stopping by and thanks for shopping at your “One Stop Chop Shop!”
