3D Printed Toy W.I.P

1Story:  Sooo…if you’ve been following my work (and I can’t think of one good reason why you would be) you would have seen the Big Dunny v1 and the Big Dunny v1 “finished” posts from a couple months back. It was really only a matter of time before I attempted to print this  3D project. This was like the “Manifest Destiny” of my digital life…I had the desire to grab as much of this new uncharted 3D Printer land as I could. I had the file,  I had the printer and I had just enough know how to be dangerous. Every thing was telling me to digitally “Go west young man!” So westward ho I ventured. It’s no big secret that I want to create “Desktop Toys” and Cosplay gear, so this is only the natural progression for me. Keep a weather eye out for more on this lil’ “Dunny-type-character-that-I-didn’t-really-“bite”-cus -I-sorta-modified-it-from-the-original-file-so-that-doesn’t-really-count-does-it?”

Closing thoughts:  I definitely have a lot to learn about 3D printing; from thinking about how to design my 3D files with 3D Printing in mind to the Tech side of the the printer, all the way down to the post process and prepping the object for final paint. There is a lot to learn and at times it can get pretty discouraging.  A “Big Thanks” goes to Metalnat Hayes, Isaac Gelman and the amazing people at Deezmakers in Pasadena: Diego, Rich, Nick and Joanne, who helped me when the going got tough.

Last but not least, I gotta give a shout out to my support team Peter Tullio and Diana Becker…of which none of this would be possible. Thank you for believing guys.

What up! Jet Olaño here, check it out…this is my “Online Art Journal”,  which is just a cool way of saying my “lame ass art blog”. Anyway, this is not meant to show off my professional work, advertise or sway anyone’s mind. This is merely “…a place for my thoughts that come and go like the wind.” (That was an in joke) If there is anything on this page that strikes your fancy or if I’ve struck a nerve or if I’ve misspelled anything (which I’m prone to do because I usually work on this thing very late at night…I am also prone to parentheticals but I can cus it’s my damn blog! Er, I mean “Online Art Journal”) please leave a comment. All comments and critiques are welcome as long as they are constructive, any trolling will be deleted and punch you in your spleen through the internet.  Thanks for stopping by and thanks for shopping at your “One Stop Chop Shop!”
